Hi, I’m Ben, 42, gay, and a psychodynamic counsellor relocating back to London from Cheltenham in the new year.

I’m planning to build my private counselling practice in London, while working as a carer alongside it.

I’m looking for a stable, welcoming queer home for a year or two while I get established. Ideally I’d love my own bathroom, but I’m open to different possibilities — a room in a shared house, annex, studio, self-contained space or something a bit more unconventional. I’m particularly interested in areas around Hampstead, Belsize Park, Swiss Cottage, Finchley Road, Bayswater and elsewhere with good transport links.

I’m calm, clean and respectful of shared spaces. I like my own company, but I also need people to talk the day out with. I like talking about feelings and what everything means, can’t get enough pop-culture podcasts, have a moderate interest in current affairs, and have a small chosen family scattered about the city who are my everything.

I might also suit a live-in care / Homeshare situation. I have extensive healthcare and care experience and have done live-in arrangements before, so if you know of anything along those lines, I’d really appreciate a lead.
