Hey! I’m Emily, I’m 25 and work near St Paul’s as a research analyst at a legal directory. I’ve lived in London since September 2024, and graduated from Exeter Uni 2023, studied law (shocker). My working hours are actually 12pm-8:30pm as I’m on the US team (not fantastic for the social life unfortunately) and I’m usually in the office 2 times a week.

I currently live just at the top of Battersea Rise in Clapham Junction and our landlord has decided to hand us our notice because we refused a ridiculous rent increase 🙃 so I’m currently on the hunt for a new home, as we need to leave by 31st of July!

My current house mates are a couple, and are also moving back to Australia end of the year, so it’s not that we don’t get on, it’s just logistically easier that we look for ourselves ☺️

I have my own circle of friends in London, and every now and again some of my best friends from home/uni come and visit, but when they do we’ve always been super respectful, and out and about exploring London anyway! The odd weekday night (school night I like to call it ahah) I sometimes have the one friend over for crisps, dip and some wine, but:

I’m a really respectful house mate, super tidy, and like my own space. Not fussed at all by noise, not to say at all I’d be the one making it myself, but I understand that the home belongs to everyone and we are all entitled to have friends over etc ☺️I’d say I’m quite the social butterfly and would love to be friends with the people I’m living with, not just passive housemates!

I love a good pub trip, dinner and bbq parties with my friends (and hopefully housemates!), finding a new favourite brunch or sushi spot, but also love nights in and chilling, doing nothing, watching TV together and having a good yap!

I also like going to the gym and a new found love of mine is Pilates!

Having my own down time is also very important to me, so I definitely wouldn’t be the type to constantly be in your way or anything!

About the potential house/room and flatmates:

• I currently have an ensuite, which in an ideal world I’d have again! But that’s definitely not a deal breaker at all, just a preference (isn’t it everyone’s anyway ahah).

• My current room is also all my own furniture too, so if the room on offer is unfurnished - that’s not a problem! Equally if it is furnished - I’d either put mine in storage, or my parents would take it back down to Devon for me (and most likely use it themselves aha)

• Not fussed if you’re a house of just girls, just boys, or mixed! Just looking for likeminded people, and somewhere that can feel like home 🏠☺️
