Hello
I’m currently looking for a room while working in Aerospace in Filton. Still relatively new to Bristol so always looking out for food/activity recommendations too!
A bit about me: I am a 32 year old female professional from Solihull (outside of Birmingham), a homeowner and have been renting long-term prior to this for 14 years (2009-2023).
As I’m still very new to SpareRooms in terms of renting for myself, I am still building my ‘SpareRoom’ references so I’m happy to provide alternatives and a direct reference from my workplace.
Personality traits and quirks: Cleanliness: I am particular about hygiene and cleanliness in my own space. I wouldn’t go so far as to say OCD, but I do find it’s 1 less thing to worry about at the end of the day and happy to help out around the house if needed.
Sociability:
- I can come across shy/introverted while settling. You’ll probably find out very quickly I really like engaging, getting involved and exploring new things around.
- I’m generally quite noise-conscious around as a housemate as I’m probably dabbling in my own hobbies anyway. White noise rather than ‘causing a ruckus’.
- A happy homebody but sporadically social outside if there’s something on.
- Bit of a night owl with an interest in astronomy (sometimes there’s a late night drive if the skies are clear), happy if anyone wishes to join <3
Work habits:
- Typical hybrid arrangement with working onsite 3-days per week (currently Mon & Fri are WFH)
- Mobile, during most weeks, as I’ll be at other sites between Birmingham and Derby. You’ll see me intermittently.
Animals: I love animals and have 2 pets (at home, not bringing with me) - a Quaker Parrot called ‘Mr Oats’ and a tabby cat named ‘Mochi’
Other quirks: The fact that I structured this post in this format..
Room requirements: Single or double room, but no preference if en-suite or shared.
Must haves: -A room with space for a workstation (Hybrid working requirements, WFH typically Mon & Fri as a middle ground, with flexibility midweek on unavoidable circumstances like appointments) -Parking (on or off road, but nearby is preferable) -Respectful open communication when adjusting to one another’s lifestyles (personal spaces should be a place for peace and harmony)
Deal breakers: -Not sure, but I’d hope there’s no theft or unfriendly/antisocial housemates to point of awkward interactions 🤷🏽♀️
