Moved to Manchester from America in December 2022, first lived in Ancoats then moved to Bury in September 2023 but the commute into the city center is killing me. Plus, I’d like to get a cat (more of a dog person but cats are less maintenance) and my current landlord doesn’t allow pets. I’m looking at moving sometime in May/June but pretty flexible. Looking at the Didsbury or Chorlton area, but again I’m flexible. I’d need a place that’s furnished and preferably my own bathroom (I grew up with 3 sisters and can’t go back to sharing a bathroom😂). Budget is £650pcm with bills included (max £700pcm). I work as a social worker for the NHS, specifically work in the magistrates court doing mental health assessments. For the most part I work M-F 9 to 5 with occasional weekends. I’m a very clean person, not quite as bad as Monica Geller (huge Friends fan) but maybe a step down from that. I keep to myself a lot of the time (spend most of my time in my room reading or watching Netflix) but I’m trying to branch out and would love to live with someone I can be friends with. Always up for a takeaway/movie night but also a big fan of pubs, especially if they have live music. Not really into the clubbing scene but totally fine if that’s your thing! I’m a VERY open person, even by American standards, so if you wanna know something just ask. Interests: travel, Disney, Ted Lasso, karaoke, dancing, family, adult coloring books, foodie but I suck at cooking, mental health/psychology, T Swift, and wine.
