About the roomies
About me You’ll be sharing the flat, with just me, and I’ll also be moving into the flat shortly from East London. I’ve lived in the UK for 17 years and currently work as an editor for a biology journal, having previously worked as a University researcher. I go into the office around twice a week, on flexible days, and I’m often away every couple of months for work or to visit family — so you’ll regularly have the flat to yourself. Outside work, I enjoy music, photography, the arts and follow international affairs. At weekends I’m usually out seeing friends, going for coffee, visiting markets, exhibitions, events or gigs. I’m friendly and sociable, and happy to chat over cooking or share the occasional glass of wine, if the general mood is such, while also respecting privacy and personal space. I like to keep the home clean and uncluttered — especially the kitchen and bathroom — so I’m looking for someone similarly considerate who will help keep shared spaces tidy and pleasant.
I am the lead tenant, and the letting agency/landlady will require proof of employment and affordability. A one-month rent deposit will also be required.
