HOMELY STRAIGHT/GAY HOUSESHARE One lovely, small, inexpensive, preferablely longterm (short-term considered please enquire) lodging room available. It’s in a lovely friendly, respectful home in the lovely central area of Bermondsey. 5 minutes walk to Bermondsey tube, 15 mins to Tower Bridge walking.

THE ROOM Small cheap room, but designed in an ergonomic way, giving massive storage space of rooms 3x the normal size. There is a doublesize mirror wardrobe, foldaway desk and chair, huge underbed storage, enough for 16 large storage boxes. Plus loads of shelving, see the pictures. All bills inc, Super fast Wi Fi, cleaning products and toilet paper included. Nothing extra to pay. Very quiet, friendly, supportive mixed gay and straight household, we’re very open and happy together. Its not a hostel feel here, more like a home environment.

THE AREA There are loads of amenities nearby within minutes. Such as Tesco, Sainsbury, Iceland, greengrocers, Hardware shops, Puregym , 24hr corner shops, local pubs, fast food, kebab, chicken and fish and chips, Indian and Chinese restaurants and greasy spoon English Cafes. Also several lovely parks such as Southwark Park, Spa Rd Park and Bermondsey Beach etc.

CONNECTIVITY 5 mins walk to Bermondsey Jubilee line Tube. 15 mins walk to Tower Bridge. Great coverage to the West End, The City, Hampstead, Tower and London Bridge, Peckham, Greenwich, Elephant and Castle, Southbank and indeed all areas of London available 24hrs a day (Weekends) via Jubillee Line and many bus routes.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR The rooms would be suitable for someone maybe such as those who are full time Pub/hospitality industry, or anyone on variable or late shift patterns. or perhaps, saving for a deposit on a house.

RENTERS RIGHTS ACT 2026 This is a lodging/Licence occupation not a Tennancy.There is a live in Landlord, as such a Tennancy can not be legally created. The new “Renters rights act 2026” does not apply to lodgers. The contract offered is a “License to occupy “, a Lodger contract.

HOWEVER PLEASE CONSIDER I’ve been a very good, supportive Lanlord over 25yrs, Lodgers often stay for years as I’m fair and reasonable, irrespective of what the law states. Our home is clean and tidy space respected by all. Things that are broken are fixed immediately, the cleaning rota maintained and home kept clean. There is no noise disturbance in the home or area and a drugs free zone. A safe space.

We are a wonderfully great mix of personalities, nationalities, ages. and occupations. We’re English, Polish, Irish,Italian and Ukranian and range in age from 28 to 55 yrs old, we speak a variety of languages. Our jobs range from ; Retired , WFH, Bar/Hospitality and Graphic Design.We have a very varied work schedule and shift patterns. We’re friendly welcoming and sociable. Monopoly, Scrabble, Chess or drinks on the Patio etc always a possibility.
