About the room
One of our housemates is leaving our fantastic place after five years here, so we’re looking for someone new to take their room.
The flat is in the Shoreditch area, less than a 3 minute walk to Aldi, Tesco and Shoreditch station, and about a 7 minute walk from Liverpool Street, so the location is pretty ideal.
You’d be taking over the ensuite room on the ground floor. It’s a really spacious room with beautiful high ceilings which make it feel even bigger and brighter.
The flat itself is in a secure apartment block and has a massive warehouse-style feel, especially in the lounge which is a great space to relax, hang out, or have friends over.
One of the best parts of the building is the shared roof access. It’s a great spot to bring friends up, enjoy the views and host the occasional BBQ when the weather’s good.
Rent is roughly £1,100 a month, although I’ll confirm the exact amount as the room has the ensuite. Bills usually come to around £150 per person each month, and the deposit is £1,000.
One of the housemates has been here for the full five years and has never had any issues with the landlord. From our experience they’ve always been easy to deal with and very helpful if anything ever needs sorting.
*** Please note that I’ve had to upload a photo of my room rather than the room that’s actually available, as I don’t currently have a picture of my housemate’s room. The room shown is actually the smallest in the flat, just for reference, and it’s still a pretty spacious room. The one you’d be moving into is larger and also comes with its own private ensuite bathroom.***
About the roomies
There are currently three of us living in the house. We’re all in our mid-20s to early-30s and working professionals. Two of the housemates work in finance, and I’m a cocktail bartender so my hours are usually afternoons through to late evenings.
Because we all work pretty different schedules we rarely clash, so the place tends to feel quite spacious and everyone gets a good amount of their own time and space around the house.
There’s also a chance that the second housemate may be moving out soon, so it would be great to slowly build a bit more of a house personality and vibe again. I’m always up for a drink, hanging out, or the occasional dinner, but equally everyone respects their own space when they want some quiet time.
Friends coming round is absolutely fine too. The main thing is just being easy going and respectful of the house.
If you’re someone who’s relaxed, happy to chill but also comfortable doing your own thing, and you like the idea of living in the Shoreditch area, I’d love to meet you.
We’re doing viewings this week so feel free to get in touch if you’re interested.
