About the room
Female roomie required for a double room with own bathroom in leafy, yet bustling Berko.
The property is a ground floor two bedroom apartment, with the main bathroom reserved for the roomie as I have an ensuite off the master. There is a kitchen with ample storage and a dishwasher. (separate kitchen NOT open plan/along the wall of the lounge diner area as in some new build apartments). There is a large lounge/diner area with french doors to a south facing balcony.
The balcony has a gate to the residents communal gardens overlooking the canal. This gives the apartment a nice outlook, and feeling of space. In addition, direct access from the apartment grounds to the canal tow path make walking, jogging or cycling easily accessible.
The apartment is a short walk from the High Street where you’ll find the Rex Cinema, Cafes, Bars and Independent Shops. It is also conveniently located for the Train Station, and has a visitors parking space on-site if you have a car.
About the roomies
I am a work from home professional female. I typically attend meetings in London one day a week max, although this can vary.
I am a non smoker and do not have any pets. The room has recently been redecorated and the rest of the apartment is being decorated over the coming weeks and months before I start renting the room from the 1st April.
Having rented rooms briefly in my twenties as a graduate in London, and in my thirties whilst working overseas, I like to think I am a hospitable yet pragmatic Landlady-striking a balance between respecting privacy, whilst being welcoming and approachable.
I do not employ a cleaner, so I clean communal areas and my room every Sunday AM. As expected, some house rules below which I also stick to:
No smoking- No pets-No parties-No outdoor shoes beyond the vestibule (wooden floor prone to scratch).
