I am offering a good sized, furnished double room in a two bed house. Located in a nice quiet rural village near Castleford, Pontefract and Selby.

I’m not a landlord and can’t accept DSS or benefits, sorry.

The room for rent is currently missing a chest of drawers, which I’ll add based on your requirements and any current furniture you might own! I can remove any and all furnishings based on your needs.

The price includes all bills:

Gas, electricity, council tax, fibre broadband, water bill

There’s plenty of on street parking, and the property benefits from some storage space available in the attic and outbuildings.

Appliances include a modern washing machine and condenser dryer, good electric oven, large air fryer, rice cooker, slow cooker, waffle maker, coffee machine, as well as your own personal fridge and freezer.

There’s a full bathroom upstairs with an electric shower over the bath, as well as a WC downstairs.

No cats or dogs, sorry (I’m allergic). Small pets may be allowed in your own bedroom and/or possibly communal areas.

The village as great transport links to A1/M62. Some lovely countryside walks on our doorstep and a short distance from neighbouring villages. There’s a village pub and hall.

Unless you work fully remotely you’ll probably want your own transport. There are however buses that come through the village that go to Selby and Pontefract.

I’m Mel, I’m 32 and have been living here for 3.5 years. I’ve had the spare room for a while now and decided it’s time to liven the place up a bit!

I’m quiet, clean and considerate, and I’m looking for someone similar. I enjoy nights in with some good movies or games. I cook and bake a lot and I love to share! I’ll respect your space as I value mine too.
