Jordan's room

Our flat has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is on the 2nd storey (kindly note there is no elevator). It is a 15-minute walk from East Croydon Station, and there is a bus stop right outside. We have lived in this flat alone since 2022 and as such have furnished it with our personal belongings. We unfortunately do not have the space to accommodate new appliances or items of furniture. As such we can only accept a flatmate who is looking for fully-furnished accommodation.

This next bit is important: we are a neurodivergent household which means we have certain requirements to maintain a healthy and happy life. This centres around:

• Respecting rules (that we agree on together)
• Routine
• Cleanliness
• Communication
• Environment (e.g. noise levels, light levels, odours, etc.)

In order for us all to understand if our lifestyles are compatible, our support requirements and how they might impact you will be discussed in detail if we decide to interview you.

Our ideal flatmate is:

• Vegan (or flexi and committed to only eating vegan at home)
• Experienced with or aware of neurodivergence, and if not is willing to learn more
• Tidy, and values cleanliness and hygiene
• Calm and appreciates a peaceful and quiet living environment
• Looking to regularly contribute to our flatshare e.g. sharing meals, playing video games together, and doing activities outside of the flat together
• Environmentally-conscious

Our flatshare will not be a fit for:

• Smokers, vapers, and recreational drug users
• Heavy drinkers
• Couples, someone with frequent overnight guests
• Someone who frequently entertains/has people over
• Someone who wants to eat animal products at home
• Pets

Landlord’s Criteria for Evaluation

• You will be required to pass reference checks with our landlord over which we have no control
• You will be signing a one-year lease

Hi! We are Jordan and Alan and we’re looking for a flatmate to join us in our furnished two-bed/two-bath flatshare in East Croydon. We’re a married couple in our late 20s/early 30s with an adorable cat named Una. We are vegan, both work from home in creative fields, not religious (but respect and welcome religious individuals), and politically liberal. We are looking for someone in their late 20s/early 30s.

A bit about us:

Jordan is a 29 year-old female. She’s a freelance sustainability and social impact copywriter. Jordan is American, loves cooking and trying new restaurants, and enjoys weightlifting.

Alan is a 32 year-old male. He works as a 3D artist in the film and TV industry. Alan is French, passionate about e-sports and visual effects, and enjoys video games and personal finance.

Una is an adorable Siberian kitten who is convinced she is a dog. Apart from the zoomies, she’s a calm, playful, and super affectionate cat. Fun fact: she also smells like clean laundry.
