Double room available in the heart of Walthamstow, just a stone’s throw away from the iconic cultural hub of Walthamstow Village with it’s many bars, restaurants and galleries. Further afield, just 15mins walk away in opposite directions are Wood Street and St. James Street, with a slew of coffee shops, galleries and cocktail bars just waiting for you to explore them!

The room itself comes part-furnished with a double bed, mattress, chest of drawers, wardrobe (exterior shelf optional) and tall bedside table with cute wicker boxes. If you have your own furniture that’s no problem, we can have things removed at your request.

The flat (Council Tax Band C) is behind a main apartment complex, removed from the main road and with nobody above us so it’s super peaceful during the day and night. It’s three-bedrooms and has recently been painted, with a new carpet laid in the hallway. It has very high ceilings and large windows throughout, so plenty of natural light coming in. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite so you’ll be sharing the bathroom with just one other person. We also have a huge communal outdoor area although only our next-door neighbours use it - it’s perfect for BBQs in the summer! Our letting agency is also really good at sorting out issues such as repairs, which is a rare find.

Ideally, our third housemate will be a relaxed professional in a similar age bracket to us who no longer is in party-mode. They will be happy to socialise with us occasionally with the knowledge that their privacy and need for space will be respected at all times. They will be a dog-person, or at the very least accept a pup sharing the communal spaces with them. Above all, as this is a queer household they will also have respect and tolerance for diversity across all spectrums - race, ethnicity, culture, sexuality, gender identity etc.

We are two existing male housemates are both 34-year-old gay professionals. We enjoy spending some time together watching horror films and trashy tv shows, popping out for a few drinks now and again, and having dinner together occasionally. We both work full-time and are both also degree students, so we spend a lot of time apart doing our own thing. I also have a dog, Tilly, a 3-year-old Mini Labradoodle.
