Location The house is in a quiet, tree-lined avenue on a side road close to the bars and cafes on Chiswick High Road, less than a five-minute walk away from Chiswick Park tube station, a large Sainsburys supermarket and Chiswick Business Park. There are lots of green spaces to go running, cycling and walking; gyms and a hot yoga centre nearby, and the Thames river is about a 15 to 20-minute walk from the house. Heathrow is only about a 30-minute tube journey, or a 20-minute taxi ride away. Chiswick itself is also very well connected to central London, but has the friendly, easy-going atmosphere of a village.

The bedroom: The bedroom comes furnished with a bed, plenty of storage, as well as a sink and vanity area in the room. It is very light and overlooks a quiet street.

Please note that the Piccadilly and District lines do run past the end of the garden, at the back of the house, and while I don’t actually notice them, if you are very sensitive to noise, then this might be a consideration for you.

The house: The property is a Victorian terraced house. We are lucky enough to have a separate kitchen, a lounge, a patio-garden space (a perfect sun-trap in summer!) as well as an upstairs bathroom, and a downstairs toilet, so space is never an issue. The kitchen is more or less fully stocked with kitchen equipment. As this is shared, you would not really need to bring anything with you.

Parking: It is possible to get a parking permit for roadside parking.

The current household is a five-bedroom house, having an all-female residence with ages ranging from late twenties to early forties. Professions include nursing, teaching and charity sector. Everyone has busy lives, so the house never feels overpopulated, but there is usually someone around in the kitchen or lounge with whom you can have a chat. I have lived here happily for many years.
