Hi there, my name is Maddie and due to a relationship ending I’m looking for a ideally female housemate (or potentially a couple/two single girls) who is looking for a place to live.

I rent a three bedroom house (two good sized bedrooms, one box room) and would ideally have someone move in before the end of the month. My ex is in the process of moving out and the tenancy ends at the end of November so this would be for 4 months initially, but I would love to stay in the house so there is the option of a longer term arrangement.

Loving dogs is a must as I have a corgi mix called Paco (picture included) who is a very sweet, calm and loving little rescue. If you work from home or are hybrid this would be a bonus as I work from the office three days a week and I hate to leave him alone for so much time. He loves people and will especially love you if you give him treats, he doesn’t do much other than curling up on the sofa for a nap and will give you plenty of cuddles. He has lived with other dogs and a cat before so I can accept people with pets, but they would need to meet first as he can be a little reactive to other dogs (he’s fine with cats).

The rent and bills come to £1700 total so I would be looking for someone to pay half of this - £850 a month. There is no deposit but there is a change of tenancy fee of £50 which I’m happy to pay half of. In return you get a shared kitchen, living room and bathroom and your own room- I’ve included pictures from the original video I took when moving in. Sorry, no en-suite as there is only one bathroom in the place! At the moment I use the box room for extra space and storage, but there is a second reception room that has only my desk in it so you could have the rest of the room if you would like (pictures included). Alternatively this could be a lovely bedroom for a third housemate.

The house is unfurnished and I have furniture, but this might suit someone who already has a few bits - the bedroom you would take has a spare mattress at the moment, but no bed frame and no wardrobe or drawers unfortunately. I can help you find furniture if you don’t have any.

The house is a good size for how much it is (especially in this rental market) and has a decent sized garden, with French doors leading out from the second reception room and a sliding door from the kitchen, with patio areas outside both. It’s a great place in the summer with plenty of sun.

Ashton on Mersey village is less than a minute away with co-op, tesco, a few other shops and a great village pub which I’m a regular at. Sale tram stop is a 15-20 minute walk away and the tram line is pretty quick and reliable- I currently get the tram to work as I don’t drive (yet!). If you drive/have a car, there is a driveway as well as on street parking.

I’d prefer to have a female housemate, someone who isn’t messy, can clean up after themselves and who would like to go to the pub every now and then for a drink. Please do message me if you are interested :)

I’m from Nottingham originally, about to turn 27 and I work as a manager at a financial advice firm near the Old Trafford stadium. I like reading, shopping, spending time with my friends, walking my dog, and am more of a pub/bar girl than a clubbing girl! I love to cook and occasionally bake, and am pretty tidy and clean. I’m an easygoing people-oriented person and obviously having just gone through a break up, I might be a little down for a while (and poor haha) but I’m a very positive person so by the time someone moves in I should have got through the crying/watching sad movies/eating icecream phase :)
