Gillian's room

This 4 bedroom townhouse is situated in the West End of Glasgow on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal with easy access to Byres Road, Great Western Road as well as a local train station just 10min walk that will take your right into Glasgow Queen Street Station and regular buses to the City Centre with bus stops just a 5 min walk from the house.

I have a double room available to rent. The ground floor has a large kitchen/dining areas with living area and small w/c. First floor has 2 double rooms, bathroom and large living room. Top floor is my own bedroom.

The space The estate has private parking and a friendly neighbourhood. With 4 bedrooms in total, I will be renting out one double room available. There are 2 other lodgers and myself.

Access to kitchen equipment will be available and use of the first floor bathroom and living areas. The garden walks down onto the canal with its own jetty and small boathouse.

I’m a very outgoing individual and enjoy golf, badminton….plus I like to think I’m a pretty good cook. I respect other peoples private space but I’m also very sociable too.

The house is pretty big so its easy to get your own space when required and I’m not always here in the evenings. If you want to know anything else about me or the house, please feel free to contact me. We can arrange for both myself, Jascha and Frane to be there when you view.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not accepting any interest for tenants who work from home, only tenants who will be out of the house 5 days per week. (This is for 2 reasons: I am self employed and work from home so like to have the house quiet and also having someone else working from home will increase energy bills significantly)

I am a marketing professional, self employed with my own business and currently working from home. I’m pretty laid back but like to keep a clean and tidy house so we all chip in with a cleaning rota which works well for us. I try to do a housemate dinner once a month which we all chip in for and I typically cook, followed by games…it’s good fun. I love cooking and always looking for tasters for new dishes. I also play badminton a few times a week and occasionally golf. I enjoy a good movie night and the cinema so big into movies. My room is on the second floor with en-suite/ on the first floor is Frane and the spare room for rent with a shared bathroom for new lodger and Frane. Frane is from Switzerland and is mr fitness. Eats healthy, cycles everywhere and exercises out in the back garden once a day…puts us to shame. Easy going and keeps to his room a lot in the evening. The main living room is also on first floor and I’m typically in there chilling in the evening…open door policy as it’s communal. Ground floor is jascha from Germany. He also keeps to himself a lot in the evening but sociable when in the kitchen cooking. Both lodgers are here indefinitely at the moment. Also on the ground floor is the main kitchen/dining area also with a living area and television. Hope that helps to paint a picture.
