About the room
Hi, I’m James, and I live here with my friendly little dog, Ralph. My current housemate is relocating to London, so I am looking to find someone to take his room, which comes with its own adjoining, family-sized bathroom.
The bedroom is a decent-sized double, with space for a desk - my current housemate works from home so it would easily suit a homeworker. We also have a large kitchen and living area, with a south-facing(!) sun-trap of a balcony which overlooks the communal gardens. It’s a pretty decent flat - I’ve been here for a few years now and I’ve had no problems. It’s super-close to the city centre and you can walk to Spinningfields in under 10 minutes, or Victoria Station in 15-20. There are loads of shops nearby and although I have one, you really don’t need a car. The apartment is a relatively new build so it has all of the mod cons you’d expect, and the communal areas are well-maintained.
I think I’ve covered everything but give me a shout if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer them. Lastly, although the room isn’t available until 1st Feb 2024, I need to confirm the new tenant with my estate agent by mid December - so give me a shout if you’re interested and we can sort out a tour!
Council Tax Band: B Bills: approx £200-250 each (water, electricity, council tax, internet)
About the roomies
In terms of me, I’m pretty easy-going and ideally, I’m looking for the same. My main interests are cooking, walking, my dog, music, going out in the gay village (where I occasionally work), and music production. I do enjoy the odd night out (or in!), but I’m at the point in life now where I’m ideally looking for someone stable, on a similar wavelength, who won’t be getting in at 5am every week day (weekends are fine though!).
I work from home as a Software Developer so I’m around during the daytimes, and can be pretty flexible in showing you round the flat either inside or outside of working hours.
