Kirkwood Drive

You will have two rooms (3.1x2.6m and 3.1x2.3m) in this four bedroom house. The rooms share a wall and one has an ensuite bathroom with a combination shower/bathtub. This will be your own private bathroom.

Please note that the rooms are not furnished, but my previous roommate is willing to sell their office furniture (standing desk, shelving unit, monitor, lamp and two bookcases) for £250, if you would like one of the rooms to be an office.

You will have access to the entire house, which is furnished, including the garden and half the garage for storage space (or more than half if you have a car).

The house is a 20 minute walk to the science site, 20 minute walk to the city centre, and a 10 minute walk to a Sainsbury’s Local.

The letting is in Council Tax band E.

Bills are about £150 a month, including gas, electric, water, and internet, so total monthly cost is about £710.

I am the only other roommate, so there will only be two of us and my dog. My dog, Buffy, is a 5kg poodle mix who does not shed. She is very friendly and loves people. She will want to cuddle you, so only inquire if you like dogs :)

This is a queer/trans/gender non-conforming friendly house. I am a leftist/socialist, and it would be great to share these ideals with a roommate.

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Durham Uni. I work from home several days a week.
