About the room
My flatmates are moving out soon so I’m looking for a couple / one person to replace them and share this lovely two-bedroom flat with me.
The en-suite double bedroom, which is the room being advertised, comes furnished with a bed that has storage space underneath, a huge sliding door wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The apartment is very spacious and comes furnished. We also have a spacious wrap around terrace, accessed through the living room. There is also a pantry (!!) which we fell in love with when we first saw this place.
Our favourite thing about this flat is that we have Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park 2 mins away through the development. This green space has been our sanctuary, there is a lovely vibe to the park and you never feel like you’re in the middle of London. As well as that, you can walk to Mile End Park in 10 mins and the wonderful Victoria Park is 20 mins away. We are spoilt with lovely independent shops, cafes, wine bars, pubs, restaurants etc in and around the surrounding area.
About the roomies
Amazing transport links - bus stop is right outside the house, taking you to Whitechapel in 10 mins and Liverpool St in 20 mins. We’ve been told by our landlord (who are lovely) that Mile End Station is the only station in London where you only need to change once, wherever you go. We’ve found that everywhere we need to go takes on average 30 minutes, which is great if you’re commuting in to town or even other parts of London! If you need other options, Bow Church DLR station is 10 mins down the road.
Stations closest to us - walking distance: Mile End (Central, Hammersmith & City, District line) - 5 minutes Bow Church (DLR) - 10 minutes
Cycling distance: Mile End Park - 2 minutes Victoria Park - 5 minutes London Fields - 13 minutes Whitechapel - 9 minutes Liverpool Street - 15 minutes Canary Wharf - 12 minutes
You’ll be sharing with me, Giulia! I’m a 30 year old Brazilian, working at a members club in town. I love good food and a good time. Though it’s not a party flat, I’m very social and like to go out from time to time, but I also love to enjoy a relaxing time at home.
The building itself has 6 flats in, and we occupy the entire ground-floor space. Our other neighbours are an elderly couple, families, as well as young professionals. In the development we are in, which has a community vibe, there are several other blocks of flats.
