About the room
Good size double room, Lavender Hill.
The Room The room is a good sized double bedroom with inbuilt wardrobes and chest of drawers (the bed also comes with the room). It is at the back of property and not facing on to street so nice and quiet. The room is south-facing, overlooking the courtyard mews, and so gets most of the days light - No great view but you can bask in the sun!
The Flat The flat is a fully furnished 2 bed flat. It has great open plan living room and kitchen with high ceilings really optimising sense of space fully. There are two large sofas which create a really nice space to hang out or have a movie night. I also have a peloton which offers the option for home exercise as well as doubling as a coat rack! There is an inbuilt fridge and washing machine in the kitchen with lots of cupboard space. I have a wide selection of utensils and appliances - including the asda velvetiser! It has a shared modern bright and fresh bathroom with separate waterfall shower and bath, recently redecorated.
I like to keep the shared areas of the house clean and tidy, and currently manage the responsibility of the bills equally, which has worked well.
It is currently a no pet household but we maybe able to negotiate this.
The Location The flat is located just off of Lavender Hill on a private gated Mews. A code is needed to enter the Mews. It is in a great commuter location: 20 minutes from Clapham Common tube or 15 minute walk to Clapham Junction, a bus stop right outside the door will take you to Brixton or to central London. There is a little Sainsburys and little Tesco 2 minutes down the road for the emergency last minute ingredient stop and a big Saisburys and Asda in walking distance for the big shop. Sendero coffee shop is less than a minute away for your morning pick me up and the Sweet Smile Bakery is a must visit for sweet treats. Its also just a 25 minute walk to Battersea Power Station with a host of great restaurants, shopping and a gym (thegym group). There is also Battersea Park to get that fresh air and fill the craving for green space!
The rent and bills come to £1350/pcm each
Please get in touch if you think this could be a good fit for you and let me know a little about yourself - I look forward to hearing from you!
About the roomies
My friend and current flatmate is managed to buy a house! He is moving out mid July (timings flexible for beginning of July). I have lived here for the last couple of years - since mid-covid - and love the flat and location, and so I am looking for someone to fill the room.
My name is Ben (he/him) and I am a paediatric ICU nurse in my late 30s. I do work shift works so would ask any new housemate to be considerate of that given that I may be napping in the day - equally I keep the noise down when I am up at odd times of the day. This does also have the bonus that any potential housemate will generally have the flat to themselves for a couple of nights a week. I enjoy cooking and baking - my speciality is homely comfort food and I love to share a meal with my friends … or a potential new flatmate. I like going to the gym but also just chilling on sofa with a Netflix series, having a games night or sharing a cocktail.
I am looking for a like minded person who is sensible, independent and friendly. This is a queer friendly house. This flat is my home and want any new flatmate to be able to feel that way too!
